Twitter is growing at an unprecedented rate, and many have jumped on and are riding this fast moving trend.
It's become some what of a movement. There are those that have no idea how to use twitter and consider it a time wasting tool.
But like most tools online, there has to be clarity about what you are trying to achieve by using it. For home business owners, network marketers this is an excellent networking tool if used correctly. Many Internet marketers have built huge businesses using twitter alone. They used a specific strategy to do this.
They have used it methodically. I have built many relationships using twitter and have been able to keep up to date with what going on within the home business Industry, as well as attract leads to my sites and to my content. Twitter is mainly for networking, sharing Info, giving value, it's not about getting thousands of followers to blatantly pitch to with every tweet, people will simply stop following you. If you have nothing of value to share, no one will bother to see what you are sharing with them. When you give value, you will attract a loyal list of followers with that can become your future business partners, or people you are able to add to your list of contacts. Decide exactly what you want to use twitter for.
What's your goal? What do you want to achieve? You will find plenty of helpful Information online to help you learn how to market and build relationships using twitter. Simply do a search on Google using terms like
"Grow my twitter network", "How to use twitter"
"Generating leads with twitter"
There is plenty of content online now with the growth of twitter, many have mastered it and know how to leverage it for maximum results. Seek them out and learn all you can.

Twitter strikes me as a variation of the newsletter mailing list that's morphed into yet another internet craze that attracts herds of sheep who have nothing to say but just have to be part of it. Another comparison is the Tower of Babel, everybody twittering and nobody listening.
The last net craze was the million pixel website with tales of the originator making a million dollars in a few weeks, very soon you thousands of the things, everybody dreaming of making a million. Of course, the time came when people started to realise that all those miniscule add bricks or pixels were a waste of time, and weren't actually achieving anything and it died away to an occasional kid who hears about it and doesn't realise it's a waste of time. What will be the nest big net thing for the sheep to get excited about?
Sheep though I may be, I use Twitter regularly and have made many new business contacts. Through Twitter, I have been asked to be a guest blogger on a prominent (in my field) web site and I have gotten two new paying clients through contacts made on Twitter. There are some who find Twitter inane, but I think once you understand how to work and use Twitter, you may find it has great value for growing your business.
