1) Explain to people what it is that your website is all about. Tell them what they can gain by visiting your site. 2) Make visitors feel at home on your website and at ease with you as a person – give them your real business address rather than a P.O. Box. You should also distribute this ezine to the many free ezine directories found online. 5) Keep a record of all of your promotional and marketing ideas, whether good or bad in a sort of “idea journal”. Refer back to it from time to time – you may find that some of those ideas will combine well with others to create winning marketing strategies. 6) Make sure that your advertisements stand out. If you are advertising in the classifieds, use all capital letters, especially in the headline of your ad. 7) Remember this old standby of customer service – the customer is always right, even when they are wrong. When conflicts arise, resolve them as quickly as you can with a minimum of fuss. Keep your customers happy – they are what keep your business alive. 8) Create a bond with your potential customers by sharing a little about yourself. You can do this in your ad copy rather than talking personally with every person who sees your website. If you know your market well, this should come naturally. |
